Baby Shower Cake Pops: Pretty on the Table, Easy on the Host

Here is what nobody tells you about hosting a shower. You will spend three days planning it and about four minutes actually sitting down at it. Anything that makes hosting easier is a gift to yourself.

That is why cake pops belong at showers. They look adorable arranged on a table, they come in colors that match the decorations, and when the party ends there are no dessert plates to wash. Guests who are too full to eat another bite tuck a pop into their bag for later, and they will text you about it that night.

How many pops for a shower?

Showers run on grazing, so plan 1.5 to 2 pops per guest. For a 30 person shower, 45 to 60 pops covers dessert with a little cushion for seconds. My minimum order is 6 mixed flavors, and orders of 50 or more just need a week of lead time.

One tip that saves every host

Order dessert to arrive a few days early. Cake pops ship Monday and Tuesday in chilled, secure packaging and keep beautifully, so weekend showers are easy. That is one thing crossed off your list before the balloons are even blown up.
