Cake pop calculator for weddings, showers & events

Two questions come up before any other: how many do I need and what is this going to cost me. Answer them both in about ten seconds โ€” no form, no waiting on a reply. Then, when you are ready, we will put a real quote in writing.

How many cake pops per guest?

The honest answer is that it depends on one thing: whether the pops are the dessert or are sharing the table with a cake.

If cake pops are the only dessert

Plan 2 pops per guest. People take one early, then come back for a second later in the night โ€” especially at receptions, where the dessert table stays open for hours. Ordering 2 per guest is the difference between a table that looks generous all evening and one that is picked clean by nine o'clock.

If there is also a cake

Plan 1 to 1.5 pops per guest. Plenty of people will skip a plated slice entirely and take a pop instead, because it needs no plate, no fork and no sitting down. That is exactly why they disappear faster than hosts expect.

Then round up to a half dozen

Pops are boxed in sixes and every pop in the box can be a different flavor, so round your number up to the nearest 6. Nobody has ever regretted having a few spare โ€” leftovers keep beautifully and guests will happily take one for the road.

Cake pop cost by guest count

At our regular price of $5.95 per pop, here is what a typical event runs. The low column assumes there is also a cake; the high column assumes cake pops are the whole dessert table.

Seasonal flavors are $6.95 each. Orders of 50 pops or more need a 7 day lead time. Shipping or local delivery on large orders is quoted separately.

What you get for the price

Every pop is fully baked cake blended with real frosting, hand rolled, hand dipped in flavored chocolate and finished by hand. They are not the small, dry, dipped-crumb kind. One pop is rich enough to land like a whole slice of pie, cake or cookie โ€” which is also why the per-guest count is lower than people expect.

There are 18 flavors, from Key Lime Pie to Salted Caramel to S'mores, and a single order can mix all of them. For a wedding or a corporate event, that means one dessert that covers every preference in the room instead of one cake half the guests politely skip.

No plates. No forks. No cake cutting fee. No cleanup crew. For a lot of hosts, that is the part that actually sells it.

    Bulk cake pops for events

Most of what leaves our kitchen is a bulk order. Cake pops for events behave differently from a cake: they are made and boxed individually, so a 40 pop order and a 400 pop order are the same job repeated, not a different product. That is why the price per pop does not change as the order grows โ€” and why you can hand every guest a different flavor without paying extra for it.

Cake pops for parties also solve the two problems that make hosts dread dessert. There is nothing to slice, so nobody has to stand at a table portioning cake while the room waits. And there is nothing to clear afterwards, because a pop leaves behind a stick.

Ordering cake pops for 100 guests or more

Once you pass 50 pops we need a 7 day lead time, and for weddings or a corporate calendar we would rather have two to three weeks. That window is what lets us match colors to your palette, split the order across several flavors, and schedule the bake so everything arrives at its best. Email Orders@missconfection.us with your date, your guest count and your city and you will get a written quote back, including delivery.

    Common questions

How many cake pops do I need per guest?

Plan 2 cake pops per guest if pops are the only dessert, or 1 to 1.5 per guest when there is also a cake or a wider dessert table. For a 100 guest wedding with a cake, that is 100 to 150 pops.

How many cake pops for 100 guests, and what do they cost?

At the Miss Confection regular price of $5.95 per pop, 100 guests works out to roughly 150 to 200 pops, or about $892.50 to $1,190. Seasonal flavors are $6.95 each.

How much do 1,000 cake pops cost?

1,000 pops at the regular $5.95 price is $5,950. Orders that size are quoted individually, including delivery, so email Orders@missconfection.us for exact event pricing.

What is the minimum cake pop order?

The minimum order is 6 pops, and every pop in the box can be a different flavor. There are 18 flavors to choose from.

How far in advance should I order cake pops for an event?

Orders of 50 pops or more need a 7 day lead time. For weddings and large events, two to three weeks ahead is ideal so flavors and colors can be planned without rushing.

Do you deliver cake pops for weddings and corporate events?

Pops ship Monday and Tuesday in a secure stick-safe box, chilled. Flat rate shipping runs $3.95 to $9.95 for standard sizes, and June through September adds $4.95 cold shipping. Shipping or local delivery for large event orders is quoted separately.
